I own and operate Smithers Home Maintenance, but more importantly, I am a family man and my amazing wife and I have 3 wonderful children. We live in Maumee, Ohio, which is an adorable midwest town full of local businesses and residents happy to offer a hand or a smile. I am very much a people person, which is my favorite aspect of what I do. I prefer to meet my clients in person so that we can get to know each other and also so I can understand the client's pain points and hopes for the job more thoroughly.

I started out in this industry over 25 years ago as a helper doing finish carpentry and painting, learning every thing I could about the interior of a house as I went. I am creative by nature and I found an ability to understand a client’s vision. Executing that vision step by step became a very fulfilling avenue to express my creativity. I love it when a project begins with a client saying “I have an idea but its hard to describe it” and ends with the client saying “that’s exactly what I wanted!”
